Stupid Stuff White People Like #1: Snuggie
So I've seen this ad twice now on TV: if you're tired of trying to keep warm inside your house with blankets because blankets fall off your body when you move, wear a Snuggie. It's like a blanket with sleeves, and it's machine-washable, too.
Okay, seriously. Whatever happened to wearing a BATHROBE over your clothes? Seriously, a bathrobe over your clothes (or at least my bathrobe over clothes) does the same thing. It even feels pretty much the same because it feels like it's made from the same soft, warm fabric (hell if I know what it is, and I don't feel like checking the label, either). And they're usually machine-washable (or at least mine is). They can be cheap, and you don't have to pay for shipping and handling (unless you buy through a catalog or online). And they can even come in more colors or cool patterns.
Or you could go old-school, and I mean OLD-school, as in medieval old, and wear a CLOAK.
Because the Snuggie looks exactly like a cloak (except not as cool, and also some cloaks have hoods, which the Snuggie does not). Now, some cloaks and bathrobes might be more expensive, but some might not be, and at least if you wear a cloak or a bathrobe instead of a Snuggie, you don't look like a gullible idiot who's been watching TV too much.
